Exhibition From March 7 to March 21 | Ahla Thit Art Gallery
Opening at 5PM on 7 March 2020
By ASEAN photographers
This travelling exhibition is a sociocultural kaleidoscope on the life of young people, assimilating mental health, identity, urbanisation, the sense of belonging, and other notions of their life transcending now to the future. 12 young photographers developed their work in the Southeast Asian Photography Masterclass 2016–17, a regional project held by the Goethe-Institut Malaysia in partnership with the Obscura Festival of Photography (Malaysia) and Ostkreuz Agency of Photography Berlin. Selected from Myanmar was Yu Yu Myint Than, who explores the nostalgic memories of a homesick teenager, tortured by her work in a tailor’s shop in Yangon.
